Studying Undergraduate Business

The Charles H. Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon prepares people to succeed in dynamic business environments and to meet the challenges of doing business in the new millennium. We are committed to creating a learning community that fosters strong alliances among business, students and faculty.

Majoring in Business at LCB

Pre-Business Major

Undergraduate students who want to enter the business program spend their first two years as pre-business majors. During this time students will complete both pre-business requirements and university general education requirements.

Major in Business Administration or Accounting

Once students have completed the pre-business requirements. They may apply for admission to the major. Students may choose to major in either accounting or business administration.

The Accounting curriculum is designed for students who want to embark on a career with a strong accounting emphasis.

The Business Administration major offers career oriented concentrations in a diverse range of study areas (see Step 3 below).

Sample Schedules: BADM Major/Chinese Minor Certificate of Global Management, Business Major/Econ Minor, Accounting Major/Econ Minor

Get a Concentration

Business administration majors may select a concentration in a particular area of study. Choose from the following set of concentrations:

Minor in Business
Undergraduate students majoring in other areas have the opportunity to earn a minor in Business Administration.

Our Facilities: Lillis Business Complex
The Lillis Business Complex, opened November 2003, provides a state-of-the-art studying and learning facility for the business curriculum. Business students may take advantage of the extensive studying and computing facilities available.
