Academic Advising

Advising Appointments
Our academic advisors, Jeanne Coe and Heather Bottorff, are available by appointment only. Make an appointment by e-mail, call 541-346-3303, or stop by 145 Lillis.

Students are encouraged to schedule an appointment between week 2 and week 6 of the term. During weeks 1 and weeks 7-11 students need to plan in advance in order to set up an appointment with an academic advisor as demand increases at the start of the term and during registration periods.

A student should meet with a peer advisor before scheduling an appointment with Jeanne or Heather. Any student requesting an exception should automatically set up an appointment with Jeanne or Heather.

For an overview of undergraduate business requirements download the Advising Document and review our advising tips.

Peer Advising
Drop-in advising is available from our peer advisors. Peer advising office hours are Monday-Thursday, 10:00am-4:00pm. No peer advising is available during finals week or in the summer.

Tutoring
The Braddock Tutoring Center located in 155 Lillis through Summer 2007 and Peterson 203 beginning Fall 2007 offers free tutoring for all undergraduate business students in a wide variety of subjects. The center is open Monday-Thursday from 10:00am to 5:00pm during the regular year and limited hours in the summer.

Mandatory Attendance Policy
Academic departments may require students to attend the first and/or second meetings of designated classes.  These classes are identified in the Class Schedule with an 'A' in the course notes.  If you do not attend the first two sessions of these classes, the academic department may give your seat to another student and you will be required to drop.  You are responsible for dropping the class; there is no automatic drop.  The university refund schedule applies.
