The Lillis Business Complex courtyard and atrium provide a distinctive identity and "front door" for the college. Embedded in the glass of the atrium is one of the largest installed arrays of architectural solar glass in the Pacific Northwest.
Classrooms in the Lillis Business Complex are designed for high-quality experiential learning and small-group instruction, for which the college is increasingly recognized. The rooms are also carefully positioned to use daylight and can be used almost year-round without electric lighting.
A typical tiered classroom in the Lillis Business Complex is designed for 60 students. Multimedia presentation equipment, power on the desk, and wireless network and Internet expand the technological capabilities available.
The Lillis Business Complex consists of a total of 196,500 square feet of space. Learning centers and department suites cluster student resources and faculty offices together around particular disciplines.
The steel structure of the atrium is one of the unique architectural elements of the Lillis Business Complex, as are the photo-voltaic cells embedded in the glass.
