Application Deadline

The Lundquist College of Business Doctoral Program accepts applications for fall term admission only. Applications and application packet materials for Fall 2008 admission must be post marked by January 15, 2008.

Required Application Materials

Application. The University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business Doctoral Program accepts applications to Graduate School by applying directly on-line. If for any reason you are unable to use the University of Oregon on-line application, please contact Marilyn Brown, Admissions and Recruiting Coordinator, at mdbrown@uoregon.edu.

The on-line application is available at http://gradweb.uoregon.edu/online_app/application/guidelines.htm. This form may only be used by those applicants who will be paying the application fee ($50) by credit card. [Note: The secure online application requires the use of Netscape Navigator® versions 4.06 and greater or Microsoft® Internet Explorer versions 4.0 and greater that support JavaScript, Cookies, and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Macintosh® users require Microsoft® Internet Explorer version 4.51 or greater.]

If you are an international student and do not have a social security number, leave that space blank. Upon admission to the UO a nine-digit student number will be assigned to you in lieu of a social security number.

Application Fee. The application fee of $50.00 (U.S.) must accompany the application. When you are applying using the on-line application, only credit and debit cards are accepted.

Admission Procedures

  1. Submit this application on-line, with the $50.00 (U.S.) non-refundable application fee. (only Visa and Mastercard are accepted)
  2. Submit by mail, official transcripts from all institutions (except University of Oregon) where you have earned a degree to:

  3. Submit by mail, a set of official transcripts of all previous college work and any additional materials requested by the department or professional school (for example, transcripts or test scores, evidence of foreign-language proficiency, and letters of recommendation) to the department or school of proposed study. (See address information directly under "Additional Application Materials")

The applicant should gather the application materials listed below and send them to:

  • Official transcripts from all previous colleges and universities attended.
  • A completed GMAT or GRE and TOEFL questionnaire.
  • Three recommendations in support of your application. Provide a copy of the Report on Graduate Applicant to each person who furnishes a recommendation. Send the completed forms in sealed envelopes along with your application.
  • A résumé
  • A statement of approximately 1000 words that (1) states your professional goals and areas of academic interest; (2) describes your academic, professional, and personal experiences that have prepared you for the Ph.D. program; and (3) gives your reasons for pursuing a Ph.D. degree and applying to the University of Oregon. Also include a paper or article that you have written. The Lundquist College of Business supports Ph.D. students principally through research and teaching assistantships and teaching assignments.
  • Please complete and return the Application for Graduate Teaching Fellowship Award.
  • An official copy of your GMAT score (GMAT Business School code KSQ-5N-72) or GRE score (GRE Business School Code 4198) sent to the University of Oregon
