For admission to the doctoral program, the student must:
Satisfy the admission requirements of the Lundquist College of Business and
of the Graduate School of the university.
Be recommended by the department with primary responsibility for the area
in which the candidate expects to major and by the graduate programs committee.
Provide evidence of scholarly promise.
Recently admitted students averaged 700 on the Graduate Management Admissions
Test (GMAT).
Approximately 15 percent of applicants are admitted into the Ph.D. program.
Each year about two students enter each of the programs in accounting, finance, management and marketing.
Deadline for application to the Ph.D. program for fall term is the preceding January 15.
All member universities of the Council of Graduate Schools, including the University of Oregon, have agreed
that prospective students are under no obligation to accept an offer of financial support prior to April 15th.
