I have several email addresses, which one should I use?
You need to use the address from which you will send messages to the list. For most faculty, this will be the address that ends with "@lcbmail.uoregon.edu". If you subscribe with one address, but try to send a message to the list using another, your message will bounce.
What if I use LCB Mail on the computer in my office, but an Oregon or Darkwing account at home?
You have two options:
Set up your Oregon or Darkwing account to forward messages to your LCB Mail account and switch your email client at home to use LCB Mail.
If you use an email client that can send and receive mail from multiple accounts, such as Outlook Express or Eudora Pro, you can add your LCB Mail account to the client's configuration.
In most cases, the first option is easier to set up and maintain.
How
can I tell if an address is subscribed to my mailing list?
Visit: http://www.lcb.uoregon.edu/mailman/admin
and select your list from those available. You will need to enter the list manager's
password. Once you're logged in you'll be presented with a series of Configuration
Categories. Select the Membership Management... link. A membership
list is presented. You may search this list by keyword or move through it alphabetically.
What
is my list administrator password?
You should have receved this password when the list was created. If you did not
save that message, contact mailman@www.lcb.uoregon.edu and
request a password
change for the list. Password reminders are sent out to list administrators periodically.
I sent a message to the list for my class, but nobody received it. What happened?
You are either not subscribed to the mailing list (check the CRN), or your message was sent using a different email address than the one that you used to subscribe to the list. This can happen if you subscribed using your Oregon or Darkwing account, but sent your email using your LCB Mail account. See also "...which email address should I use?"
How do I change the email address under which I subscribed?
