Lundquist Center Scholarship Opportunities

The Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship is pleased to offer a number of scholarships dedicated to students with a focus upon innovation and entrepreneurship.

Lundquist Entrepreneurial Scholarships . Two $1000 scholarship awards (one MBA and one UG) will be made each year to students demonstrating genuine interest in innovation and entrepreneurship. Students must possess the academic interest, LCE affiliation, previous work experience and/or a vision for a future business opportunity. Each scholarship recipient will be chosen based on a number of factors including academic performance, creative vision, demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurial passion. Students must have demonstrated sound academic performance and earned the respect of peers through his or her leadership abilities.

Barbara Nelson Scholarships

Two $5000 scholarships will be awarded each year to incoming MBA students demonstrating interest in innovation and entrepreneurship. These scholarships will be in addition to any financial support offered through the OMBA application and recruiting process. Scholarship recipients will be selected by faculty and staff of the LCE in coordination with OMBA program admissions.

Evergreen Community Development Scholarships

Evergreen Community Development (www.ecda.com ) has funded two $2500 scholarships to support either juniors or seniors with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship. Evergreen is a not for profit working with the US Small Business Administration lending money to small businesses for fixed access acquisitions (primarily commercial real estate). Operating in Washington, Oregon and Alaska, Evergreen has a desire to support students enrolled in entrepreneurship programs. 

Selection Process

The LCE scholarship committee seeks to reward people who are committed to pursuing entrepreneurial careers either by starting a venture, working in a small or mid-size enterprise or bringing entrepreneurial thinking to the corporate world. All students are encouraged to apply since history suggests that entrepreneurs come from across all backgrounds, experiences, and grade point averages.

A variety of other scholarship opportunities are available to students with an interest in innovation and entrepreneurship.
