Price Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies
The Price Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies was originally a separate, private, operating foundation established by Mr.
Harold Price in 1979 that was funded through grants from the Louis
and Harold Price Foundation.
The Price Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies was created to contribute to the education and encouragement of
entrepreneurs. The Institute focuses particular interest on entrepreneur programs at institutes of higher education, but has
been also focusing lately on helping entrepreneurs in the general business community learn more about what it takes to be an
entrepreneur. The Price Institute is a co-sponsor of the Roundtable on Entrepreneurial Education held at Stanford University.
The REE USA 2005 conference gathers business, science, and engineering faculty from leading universities in the United
States with the goal of accelerating entrepreneurship education for scientists and engineers.
REE offers an opportunity for entrepreneurship programs to share success stories and learn new ways to enhance their
offerings. The meeting includes a formal program and interactive workshops, as well as many opportunities for informal
discussions with colleagues.
The LCE's Technology & Entrepreneurship Program was nominated for the prestigious Price Institute Innovative
Entrepreneurship Educators Award. This award recognizes innovative entrepreneurship education programs for scientists and
engineers.
