Lundquist Internship Program

The University of Oregon's Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship prides itself on connecting business students with companies throughout the Northwest. The motive is twofold: to enhance students' experience and skills with respect to entrepreneurship and to assist growth-oriented companies and organizations.  Learn by doing. What better way to experience the realities of an entrepreneurial environment than be in the middle of the storm.

We are always solicitng companies interested in providing internship opportunities for our students. Internships are evaluated on the following criteria:

  • The company is entrepreneurial both in its market view and operational culture.
  • The company can offer a qualified, flexible, perceptive, and available supervisor who ensures a mutually satisfying experience for both company and intern.
  • The company demonstrates that its internship projects are important to the firm, requires advanced business knowledge, and will provide an intern with professional practical experience.
  • A compensation program exists to reward students for their efforts.

Graduate and undergraduate students are selected as interns based on their qualifications, experience, abilities, and interest in entrepreneurship. Graduate students must have completed at least the first year of the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Program with a demonstrated intent in pursuing an entrepreneurship concentration. Undergraduate students must have achieved junior standing, been admitted to the Lundquist College of Business, and must also have a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship.

A typical summer internship program is full time employment and runs from mid-June through early September. In addition, a number of students are interested in part time internship opportunities while attending classes during the year.
