Undergraduate Program Ranked In Top 50

U.S.News & World Report ranks the Charles H. Lundquist College of Business forty-ninth in the nation and among the top public undergraduate business programs. This ranking places the program as best in Oregon, and one of two best in the Northwest.

"The top 50 ranking acknowledges the excellence of our programs, students, and faculty," said Associate Dean Chris Murray. "To be listed among the nation's elite business programs is recognition of our commitment to teaching, research, and experiential learning opportunities. The innovative learning community at the heart of the Lundquist College of Business makes the UO's business school a truly remarkable place."

The U.S.News & World Report rankings are based solely on reputation. For the rankings, U.S.News surveyed officials at 350 accredited schools with undergraduate business programs, asking deans and senior faculty to rate the academic quality of peer institutions.

U.S.News published the survey results as part of its annual Best Colleges issue on September 17, 2001. The results also are available on the magazine's Web site at www.usnews.com.
