This course focuses on developing organizing structures and competitive strategies
to compete successfully in an increasingly complex and dynamic global economy.
Topics include the challenges and opportunities of globalization, international
trade theory and regional economic cooperation (e.g., WTO, EU, NAFTA), political
risk analysis, cultural influences on management, organizing principles for
international business, international business strategy, and international staffing.
Particular attention is focused on learning how competitors and partners in
other countries of the world (e.g., Japan, Germany, Mexico) organize and compete.
