Would you prefer to learn about the internship and job search with your friends
and other business school peers? Attend one of our workshops fall, winter or
spring term to develop your career skills. Examples include workshops on Resumes,
Cover Letters, and Interviewing.
Career Services also offers the unique opportunity to learn about the world
of work from the professionals who are working in it. Our office schedules presentations
from a variety of employers to share advice with LCB students on topics ranging
from what it is like to be an operations manager to how do you make your self
stand out among the other job applicants. Examples of employer presentations
are:
Life After LCB (Fall) Professionals return to the LCB to share their
advice as to how to make the most of your time in college and how to prepare
for the world of work
Employers Tell All (varies) Panels of employers discuss career related
topics such as Managing First Impressions and How
Career Business Symposium (spring) Four panels of professionals discuss
their career paths and share information that can help you decide if it is
a good fit for you. Its also a great chance to network after the session.
Employer Information sessions (Fall, winter and spring) Employers
interested in hiring students come to campus and schedule information sessions.
These are intended to give you information about the organization and their
openings. Its a great way to learn about an industry, an organization
current job ad internship opportunities.
LCB Career Services is offering a new avenue for career exploration to its
undergraduates. Career Services will be scheduling one to two site visits per
term with regional companies. Site Visits (Fall, Winter, Spring)

Enroll in BA 410: Career Business Mentor course. This
one credit class is open to all students and is offered fall, winter and spring
terms. In addition to learning about resumes, letters of introduction, and interviewing,
you will have the opportunity to request two professionals working in careers
of your choosing and conducted information interviews with each.
