LCB Miles and Eleanor McKay Technology Center Accounts

MBA and MACC Students
Students enrolled in a business
course.
Each term students must activate their accounts, even if they had one the previous term.
To activate an account, enter your Student ID number in the Account Activation computer near the front desk of the Business Technology Center.
The computer will then you through a few easy steps to activate your account. Your account should be ready in about 5 minutes.
Printing
The Miles and Eleanor McKay Technology Center has several laser printers, and can output color or black & white
paper or transparencies up to 12"x18" in size. Wireless printing is available. Here are the instructions:

Cost of Printing
Each term students start with a $10 printing credit.
Students should contact the front desk once they have exhausted
their print credit. All additional print jobs will be charged at the following rates
Black & White - 10¢ a page (two-sided printing - 20¢ a page)
Color - 80¢ a page
Transparencies - black & white- 50¢, $1.20-for color. Transparencies are in the color printer bypass tray.
Printing Tips -- Very Helpful
Make sure you know which printer you sent your print job to.
Specify which pages to print in 'print setup' when printing from the internet or Microsoft Access.
Check to see if you printed 'one copy'.
If you want to print your Resume, please contact the front desk.
Unclaimed print jobs are kept for 48 hours and then recycled
Scanners
Two computers in the Wildish lab are equipped with flatbed scanners. Directions on how to scan photos
are taped to each scanner and lab consultants are nearby to provide
assistance. The BTC-Central Hall printer/copier can scan (to a Courseshare network folder)
multiple page documents to a PDF format. The instructions are posted above the printer.
General Lab Policies
No food is allowed in the Technology Lab. Drinks are permitted, but only in approved
containers. Examples include water bottles with caps and
non-spillable coffee mugs. For additional lab policies and
guidelines, please speak to a lab consultant at the front desk.
Accessing LCB Servers from home
We receive many requests to access our servers from home computers, and have prepared a handout that discusses
how to do this. The document is in Adobe Acrobat format. If you don't have Acrobat,
you can download it from Adobe's website.
