If you think you have the potential to be the “World’s Greatest Intern,” but you’re not sure how to secure an internship, this is the event for you! The campus-wide Internship Fair happening January 26 in the EMU Concourse. See the UO Career Center’s website for details and a list of participating organizations.
Even if you don’t see the employer you want to intern with, the fair is a great place to practice talking about yourself, networking with employers, and seeing what the job search process is all about.

Are you ready for the Internship Fair next week? Many employers will be conducting job interviews the next day. When they ask you to interview, will you be able to present your skills and experience in the best possible, relevant way? This might be the first time you are interviewing for a professional job or you might simply want some practice interviewing for your upcoming internship interview. Learn some strategies to prepare and communicate your skills and interests to the employer.
The UO Career Center is delighted to host U.S. Department of State representative, Edward Kulakowski, Diplomat-in-Residence at UCLA. Mr. Kulakowski counsels students on State Department internship and career opportunities with a particular focus on the Foreign Service. The U.S. Department of State is poised to hire over 1000 new hires in the next few years and are here to recruit a new generation of foreign affairs professionals interested in careers supporting, formulating and implementing U.S. foreign policy. Learn more about Department of State Foreign Service and Civil Service internships, scholarships, fellowships and career opportunities.
Students should familiarize themselves with the Department of State web site prior to the visit . The Foreign Service Officer Test is an ideal first step to joining the U.S. Department of State.

The Green Professionals Conference is right around the corner on January 26th at Doubltree LLoyd Center in Portland! The Conference is offering a discounted registration to students: $45 instead of $195. The Green Professionals Conference not only offers networking opportunities to job seekers and firms that are hiring, but also offers valuable break out sessions for people already in the industry. The keynote speaker is Jon Wellinghoff, Chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. The agenda is located here.
