Warsaw Center Industry & Alumni

Are you an alumni looking to give back? A prospective employer seeking highly qualified graduates who can hit the ground running? A seasoned sports business professional with wisdom to share? Thanks to a network of current and former students that is second to none, the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center offers many ways to connect with the next generation of sports industry talent.

Below are the most common ways individuals and corporations work with us, but if you want additional information or have another idea, please contact Paul Swangard, managing director, pswangar@uoregon.edu, 541-346-3312.

  • Post a Job or Internship: UO JobLink is a searchable database of jobs and internships. UO JobLink reaches students of all majors, including business students. Companies can self-post jobs on UO JobLink. To get started, visit the following link and follow the instructions: http://uocareer.uoregon.edu/employer.

  • Recruit our Students: Several venues exist for recruiting firms to engage our students, including hosting an information/recruiting session, taking part in an industry panel discussion series, or hosting a group of students on site. To learn more visit Lundquist College of Business's Career Services.

  • Visit as a Guest Speaker: Share your insights. Industry professionals inspire our students and faculty with their insider's view of the sports business. The center brings a range of industry leaders from around the country in as guest lecturers and speakers at special events, including the Sports Executive Speaker Series.

  • Be an Industry Expert on Campus: Each year, sports business leaders come to the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center to work with students and faculty around their core expertise. Residencies can last one or several days and can emphasize either faculty collaboration or classroom teaching.

  • Participate in a Panel: Seasoned sports industry insiders share their insights--and scout new talent--in student-organized events like the internationally known Women In Sports Business Symposium and the recently launched Global Sports Symposium.

  • Stay in Touch: Join the Warsaw Center's private alumni group on Facebook, follow the UOWarsaw Twitter feed, and check out our students' insights on the Warsaw Sports Review blog.

  • Donate: Financial support is a critical factor to the long term success of the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center, and gifts of all sizes are welcomed. For information about investing in the Warsaw Center, contact External Relations, 541-346-3370. Or give online at the UO Foundation.
