The Warsaw Sports Marketing Center's sixteenth annual Women in Sports Business Symposium (WSBS) took place April 19, 2012 at the University of Oregon's White Stag Building in Portland, Oregon. The 2012 symposium's theme, "Transcending Borders: Sport as a Global Language," examined the globalization of sport and its impact on the sports industry. The highlight of the evening was a keynote by Micky Lawler, managing director of the Octagon Sports tennis division and 2012 Warsaw-Thurston Award recipient.
