FINANCE AND SECURITIES ANALYSIS CENTER
When people think about the financial industry, Oregon is typically not high on their list. It should be. The Pacific Northwest is a hub for corporate finance and market activity covering some of the biggest names in business (Microsoft, Nike, Intel Capital, Costco--to name a few).
The University of Oregon's Finance and Securities Analysis Center at the Lundquist College of Business provides students with the comprehensive knowledge and applied experience necessary to lead and succeed in today's multifaceted global economy. Run by a respected practitioner, the center makes the financial world approachable and accessible by linking students with the region's financial, banking, and investment industry. Students manage live investment portfolios as well as connect with the latest research and knowledge from the college's finance and accounting faculty--renowned thought leaders in empirical corporate finance, mutual fund analysis, and corporate tax accounting.
Add to all this our Pacific Rim location, and the center has a decidedly international focus with an emphasis on East Asia. The end result: our students graduate with a unique blend of finance and accounting that recognizes differences in cross-border markets, banking practices, and capital structures.
