The Finance and Securities Analysis Center features a suite of software representing the industry standard for professional money management and securities analysis. Current students have full use of these professional investment tools, including the FactSet research platform for the real-time and historic analysis of securities and markets from around the world. The platform provides live financial data, prices, and news in real time, and the ability to examine all company financial reports and security level data at the most detailed level.
The platform also provides the software tools needed for portfolio construction, risk assessment, style analysis, and performance attribution at the portfolio level. Students, including those in the University of Oregon Investment Group, are equipped to produce professional-caliber analysis and portfolio reviews of the highest quality. Ongoing training in the use of these tools is available through the center, software providers, and the college‘s Business and Technology Center.
