Career Placement
Finance and Securities Analysis Center graduates have gone on to pursue careers in asset management, corporate finance, treasury, investment banking, accounting, commercial banking, real estate, private equity, alternative investing, and risk management.
Students in the Finance and Securities Analysis Center have a wide range of career planning resources to draw from--both within the Lundquist College of Business and across the UO. These resources bring students professional expertise, ongoing programs, personal service, and state-of-the-art tools to help structure their job search.
The curriculum of the Finance and Security Analysis Center (FSAC) has been designed not only to bridge the latest research into the complex intersection of finance, accounting, and decision-making, but to develop those skills sought by today’s leading businesses. The FSAC’s track of study ensures that every student receives a solid foundation in the concepts and skills that are essential regardless of what career you want to pursue. At the end of your course of study you should be conversant with the financing life cycle of most businesses and the tradeoffs and decisions today’s financial executives and professionals need to make. But, we also work closely to advise you to develop your own career plan, helping you pick classes that fit your career goals.
In addition, the FSAC's Career Insights Network provides one-on-one connections between our students and industry leaders. Friends of the university have stepped forward to offer their experience and professional insights within a mentoring relationship, helping Finance and Securities Analysis Center students prepare for specific industry roles and careers. Chief financial officers, vice presidents, and senior investment managers are among those who work informally with students to provide insight and guidance.
