Curriculum Overview

Coming up with the idea is the easy part. The real entrepreneurial challenge begins with determining an idea’s feasibility, defining an implementable business model, and commanding the resources to turn a plan into a successful enterprise.

The Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship guides students through the entrepreneurial process at the undergraduate, business minor, and MBA levels. With a curriculum that embraces the center's philosophy of relevant and real-life educational experiences, a variety of courses available to students deliver a foundation of business theory and principles.

Experiential Learning

Bolstering the curriculum and coursework are abundant real-world, live-fire experiences that give students the courage to expand their comfort zones by focusing on skills that build presentations and the ability to critically defend their ideas. These experiential, or hands-on, learning opportunities are a hallmark of the center and the Lundquist College of Business. Through experiential learning opportunities, students will be able to participate in their own business ventures while receiving open and honest feedback from an active and collaborative community of industry advisors, faculty, practicing entrepreneurs, and alumni.

The following are some of the experiential learning opportunities available through the Lundquist Center for Entrepreneurship:

Business Plan Competitions

Additional experiential learning arises during business plan competitions--along with the chance to win cash prizes. Not only do student venture teams participate in competitions hosted by the Lundquist Center, but also in competitions around the globe.
