Appointments are available to help students develop and critique resumes and cover letters. You can also take advantage of our drop-in hours for assistance with these two job search tools. In addition, advisors can discuss interview strategies and help you brainstorm ways to answer tough questions. Don't stop your preparation short by simply getting advice. Practice is critical to perform your best in the interview. Set up a practice interview with an advisor. Videotaping is a popular option that allows both you and the advisor to critique your performance.

MBA and MAcc Students
We encourage MBA and Master of Accounting students to make appointments for individual career counseling sessions throughout the year. We'll discuss topics of importance to your self-assessment process and job search. Topics include networking, targeting employers, focusing career goals/self-assessment, effective resume and cover-letter writing and interviewing, evaluating and negotiating employment offers, and dual career concerns. The size of the Oregon MBA and Master of Accounting student bodies means that each student has frequent opportunities for personalized sessions.
In addition to individual appointments, Career Services provides a job search manual tailored specifically to graduate students. You can stop by our office in 240 Lillis or download a copy from Blackboard.
